I believe art is energy. Energy I must connect to, connect with and transfer. And if I'm doing well - stay out of the way of.
I like to paint abstract because I like to paint what does not exist. That being said, my work is often inspired by nature and observations of form from real physical things, or simply raw emotion.
Curiosity is the catalyst for my art. I am boldly experimental. Nothing is off limits. I'll try anything with my art. It seems like every object or material can be
art.
I prefer acrylic paint as my painting energy is best expressed when not waiting on paint to dry. I will incorporate anything into my art if it helps reveal its story. Sticks and driftwood, fabric and strings, other canvases, broken
glass, coins, found objects, and one of my favorites - old rusty barbed wire. I have used them all.
Love is the greater foundation of my art. I believe I am here to express and transfer love through my work. To me there is no higher calling.
Love is WHY I paint.
I have exhibited some of my work at galleries in Kansas City, and occasionally at other exhibits and venues, but primarily offer my work directly to collectors and patrons.
I live and work in Overland Park, KS.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
